- From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests
- Should you contact us with a comment or request for information about our services we will only use your details for this matter and will not contact you for any other purpose using this information.
Active Libraries Privacy Statement:
The information we collect from you is held on a shared database which is a partnership project between Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, Borough of Poole, Dorset, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Somerset.
Your personal data will be used by Active South Gloucestershire Libraries and our partners in the LibrariesWest Consortium for the purposes of providing library services and to enable the collection of any charges that you incur as a member of the library.
Your data may also be accessible to suppliers of our library management system. These suppliers have committed to handling data in accordance with the principles in the Data Protection Act 1998, and will only do so to the extent that this is required to maintain the library management system
Your data may also be shared with Active South Gloucestershire Libraries service delivery partners. We will only share your data with these partners where we have a data sharing agreement in place and only for the purpose of delivering more effective public services to you.
If you consent to us collecting and sharing information about your ethnic background, your religious beliefs, or any disability that you may have we will only do so in order to meet our duties under the Equality Act 2010 and to ensure that the service that we provide to you is suitable for your needs.
Active South Gloucestershire Libraries and its partners take their responsibility under the Data Protection Act very seriously and your information will always be handled confidentially and will not be made available to anyone without your knowledge and consent. We ensure that the information is held securely and is protected from unauthorised access.
You have the right to access the information that we hold about you at any time by applying in writing to your local library.
